The UrIH faculty contributed hugely to the success of the University. The subject ranking reflects UrFU’s strength in humanities. It ranked 245th in the Arts & Humanities broad subject area (moved up by 29 positions in a year).
UrFU improved its position in the latest subject ranking. It ranked in the top 100 in such fields as Hospitality & Leisure Management. The University also significantly improved in the subject ranking in History – it ranked the top 101–150. UrFU placed in top 101-150 in Philosophy and the top 251–300 in Linguistics.
“UrFU has been improving its position in the QS University Ranking by Subject for several years, thereby establishing a good domestic and international reputation for quality of teaching and research, explains Yuliya Zapariy, head of the Office of Research and Innovative Work Organization. It is only Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Higher School of Economics and Saint Petersburg State University that are ranked higher. It speaks to the high quality of research conducted by the faculty of Ural Institute of Humanities in general as rankings in broad subject areas reflect progress in all subjects, even those not placed in the published rankings.”
