Dr. Valery Mikhaylenko is a professor at the Department of Theory and History of International Relations, head of Master program “Global and regional security and conflict management”.
He graduated from Ural State University in 1968, consequently worked as University lecturer, conducted research in Russia and abroad, defended PhD and then doctoral thesis, had advanced training in European academic centres, acquired professorship, lectured in dozens of Russian and European universities as visiting professor, formed International Relations faculty in Ural State University and made it a well-known academic centre in Russia and abroad.
He is the head of UrFU Jean Monnet chair and of the teaching staff. He is responsible for teaching courses “History of European Integration”, “EU interregional policy” and other EU-related courses. His research is focused on the EU’s role in the globalised world, and EU regional and interregional policies.
Ekaterina Mikhaylenko is Associate Professor at the Department of Theory and History of International Relations of Ural Federal University.
She has more than 18-year experience in teaching of history of international relations, political and security issues at the Department of International Relations, Ural Federal University. In 2001 Ekaterina started working as assistant lecturer of the department. Since 2010, she is a full-time lecturer at the University. Currently Ekaterina is teaching courses, related to contemporary issues of international relations and international security problems. Sphere of scientific interests: regional integration, regionalism, EU, Russian-led regionalism, security. Ekaterina has more than 20 publications, published in Russian and English, on European regionalism and projects realized in the post-Soviet space.
As a member of Jean Monnet Project 575043-EPP-1-2016-1-EN-EPPJMO-CHAIR "EU Regionalism and Foreign Policy" Ekaterina Mikhaylenko is responsible for teaching course “Regional Structure iof the World” and research on the topic “EU interregionalism”.
Aleksander Burnasov is Associate Professor at the Department of Theory and History of International Relations of Ural Federal University.
It graduated from UrFU politologi baccalaureate in 2002, was awarded master degree in international relations in 2004 and PhD in history in 2008.
Teaching experience in Ural State (then Federal) University – since 2008.
In the team of UrFU Jean Monnet teaching staff Mr burnasov is responsible for teaching course “European business in Russia” and research on the topic “Logistics infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in providing transit from European Union to the Сhina”. It also participates in working groups, organising conferences and youth conferences.
Ksenia Muratshina is Associate Professor at the Department of Theory and History of International Relations of Ural Federal University.
She graduated from UrFU oriental studies baccalaureate in 2009, was awarded master degree in international relations in 2011 and PhD in history in 2014.
Teaching experience in Ural State (then Federal) University – since 2011.
In the team of UrFU Jean Monnet teaching staff Ms Muratshina is responsible for teaching course “EU policy towards Asia” and research on the topic “EU participation in Belt and Road Initiative”. She also participates in working groups, organising conferences and youth conferences.
