Teaching
Teaching is one of the principal activities to be carried out by Project N 575043-EPP-1-2016-1-RU-EPPJMO-CHAIR "EU Regionalism and Foreign Policy" working group. The purpose of the WG is to widen and deepen IR students’ knowledge about the EU.
The WG with EU support is to deliver the following courses: External Regional EU Policy (64 h., 2nd cycle), History of European Integration (36 h., 1st cycle), European Idea and European Institutes (12 h., 3rd cycle), EU External Regional Policy and Russian regionalism (6 h., 1st, 2nd, 3rd cycle) by Prof. Valery Mikhaylenko, European business in Russia (36 h., 1st cycle) by Associate Prof. Aleksandr Burnasov, World of Regions (18 h., 1st cycle) by Associate Prof. Ekaterina Mikhaylenko, and EU policy towards Asia (36h., 2ns cycle) by Associate Prof. Ksenia Muratshina

Valery Mikhaylenko
Since 2017 Prof. Valery Mikhaylenko is teaching two courses annually considering EU-related topics. The first one is “EU interregional policy” course for master program “Global and regional security and conflict management”. The average number of students during 2 years is about 15 students. The second course “History of European Integration” is taught for BA program in International Relations. During the first year there were 90 students in the class, in the second year there were about 35 students. Professor Valery Mikhaylenko also has lectures in the framework of BA course “Regional structure of the World”, teaches special courses on EU for PhD students and for teacher training.
Ekaterina Mikhaylenko
In 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 academic years Ekaterina Mikhaylenko in the framework of of Jean Monnet Project 575043-EPP-1-2016-1-EN-EPPJMO-CHAIR "EU Regionalism and Foreign Policy" teaches special course “Regional Structure of World” for BA program. Annually Ekaterina has in her class about 90 students.
Ksenia Muratshina
In February 2017 Ksenia Muratshina has held the first “EU policy in Asia” course for master programme students in UrFU faculty of international relations. The course was chosen by 8 students. That time, it was organised in the framework of UrFU co-financing of Jean Monnet Chair. The second time the course was held in spring 2018, financed by the grant 575043-EPP-1-2016-1-RU-EPPJMO-CHAIR. It was chosen by 6 students of master programme. The course involves lectures and seminars on EU policy in the Middle East, Central Asia and Asia-Pacific, as well as on EU interaction with regional organisations in Asia.
Aleksandr Burnasov
In 2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2018/19 academic years Aleksandr Burnasov in the framework of of Jean Monnet Project 575043-EPP-1-2016-1-EN-EPPJMO-CHAIR "EU Regionalism and Foreign Policy" teaches special course “European business in Russia” for BA program. Annually Alexander has in her class about 90 students.
