On December 23, 2021, the results of the competition for grants of the President of the Russian Federation for state support of young scientists and leading scientific schools were summed up. Among the winners were lecturers of UrIH UrFU - employees of the Chair of History of the Ancient World and the Middle Ages.
Within the framework of a grant for leading scientific schools, the project of Doctor of Sciences in Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Tatyana Viktorovna Kushch "Late Byzantium: Political and Socio-Cultural Challenges and Answers to Them" was supported.
Grant support for young scientists-PhD was received by the PhD in History, associate professor Zhigalova Natalya Eduardovna with the project "From cooperation to confrontation: problems of Byzantine-Ottoman relations in the first half of the 15th century."
In total, 1108 applications were submitted for the grant competitions (the competition of scientific schools - 112, the competition of young scientists- 996), 50 scientific schools and 400 young PhD became the winners.
