Maxim Cheremnykh was the only participant from Russia who presented his project at the 16th European Game-Based Learning Conference.
In early October, the 16th European Conference on Games Based Learning (ECGBL 2022: 16th European Conference on Games Based Learning) took place at the University of Lusofon in Lisbon, Portugal.
This year the conference was held in a hybrid format, which brought together experts from more than 40 countries. The conference brought together scientists from various fields: psychologists, game designers, as well as specialists involved in various aspects of game learning.
The conference covered a wide range of topics, but the main theme of this event is how learning based on games helps in the field of inclusive education, and also affects the well-being and health of schoolchildren.
Maxim Cheremnykh, master student of the Cognitive Neuroscience program, took part in the conference. Under the scientific guidance of Lyudmila Valerievna Tokarskaya, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Education, he presented the game "World of Emotions", aimed at working with the emotional intelligence of schoolchildren. One of the stages of the game is keeping a diary, which will help schoolchildren to differentiate their emotions, and teach them to distinguish emotions from feelings. This game in a partial format has already been held in a general education school and in a special educational institution of a closed type. The author, Mikhail Cheremnykh, plans to continue holding the World of Emotions game in schools, and, based on the analysis of schoolchildren's diaries, to conduct a study of the emotional sphere.
